Achim R. Schloeffel has spent his life shaping the frontiers of technical diving. Since taking his first breath underwater at the age of seven, he has logged over 11,000 dives and trained generations of instructors worldwide, establishing himself as a foundational educator in the industry. His decades of experience span the exploration of remote wrecks, complex cave systems, and some of the world’s most challenging aquatic environments.

As the founder and president of InnerSpace Explorers (ISE), Achim is known for combining exploration, education, and innovation. His career is marked by extraordinary milestones—from his record-breaking crossing of the English Channel using an experimental underwater scooter, to the discovery and documentation of long-lost shipwrecks.

Beyond the water, Achim shares his passion as an accomplished author, filmmaker, photographer, and speaker. Through his books, articles, documentaries, and one of the most influential technical diving channels on YouTube, he has spent years mentoring and inspiring divers globally. His relentless focus on diving safety, knowledge, and community has made him one of the most trusted voices in the industry.
